Please read the Terms and Conditions before booking or buying any of my services.
INTRODUCTION
My name is Bruno Ázera, and I am a professional landscape photographer and a registered tour guide (License No. 51/2018/RAA) based on Terceira Island, Azores. My goal is to invite outdoor and nature enthusiasts to join me on unique photography workshops across the Azores and Madeira — capturing stunning landscapes and experiencing the islands in a way that goes far beyond the typical rush of travel. I believe in meaningful, educational experiences and in building genuine connections with like-minded photographers and explorers.
REGISTRATION
To secure a place on any of my photography workshops, participants must provide their full name, email address, and phone number. A deposit is required to confirm the reservation, payable through PayPal or bank transfer. Final payment is due 90 days prior to the workshop start date. If booking is made within 90 days of the workshop, full payment is required to secure your place. All transaction fees are the responsibility of the participant.
INCLUSIONS
All photography workshops include professional instruction and guidance, accommodations, breakfasts, local transportation, and park fees. Details may vary by workshop, and I encourage participants to review the specific workshop description on my website for exact inclusions. Personal Accident Insurance and Liability coverage are included. I also recommend IATI Travel Insurance for additional coverage options.
COST AND PAYMENT
All prices are inclusive of VAT at the current legal rate. Prices do not include alcoholic beverages, personal expenses, or any items not explicitly listed as included. Payments can be made via PayPal (with a 5% fee covered by the participant) or by bank transfer. Deposits (typically €1000) are required to secure a booking, with the final balance due 90 days before the workshop start date.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to bruno.azera@gmail.com. I understand that booking a photography workshop is a commitment, but unexpected changes can happen. All deposits are non-refundable but transferable to another workshop or future event. Refund policies are as follows:
Full refund if cancellation is more than 90 days before the workshop
50% refund if cancellation is between 90 and 61 days before the workshop
25% refund if cancellation is between 60 and 31 days before the workshop
No refund if cancellation is within 30 days of the workshop
Failure to appear at the scheduled start time will result in forfeiture of all payments. I reserve the right to cancel workshops due to insufficient enrollment or safety concerns. In that case, a full refund of payments made to Bruno Ázera Photography will be issued. I am not responsible for airline ticket refunds or other travel-related costs resulting from cancellations or schedule changes.
LIABILITY WAIVER AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Participants acknowledge that photography workshops may involve physical activity, unpredictable weather, and challenging terrain. By registering, participants accept these risks and agree not to hold Bruno Ázera or any associated guides liable for injuries, losses, or damages incurred.
FORCE MAJEURE
Bruno Ázera Photography is not liable for failure to perform any part of this agreement due to unforeseen circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, or travel disruptions.
PARTICIPANT CONDUCT
I reserve the right to remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or negatively affects the group or the overall experience. This includes violations of local laws, disrespectful conduct, or failure to follow safety instructions. No refunds will be given in such cases, and any additional costs incurred due to removal are the responsibility of the participant.
IMAGE RIGHTS
Participants agree that images and videos captured during the workshop may be used by Bruno Ázera Photography for promotional purposes. Participants also agree to obtain consent before sharing images that include other individuals.
GOVERNING LAW
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any disputes will be resolved in Portuguese courts.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Participants should be in good physical health and disclose any medical conditions or dietary restrictions before the workshop begins. I will inform accommodation or service providers of dietary needs, but cannot guarantee all requests will be fulfilled. I accept no liability if these needs are not met.
INSURANCE
Personal Accident and Liability Insurance are included in the workshop. Participants are encouraged to purchase additional coverage, including airfare cancellation insurance. I am not liable for third-party errors or service issues.
PRIVACY POLICY
Your personal information will never be sold, rented, or shared with third parties. I reserve the right to use images or video taken during workshops for promotional purposes, unless you request otherwise in writing before the workshop.
EXCLUSIVITY
Participants agree not to organize, promote, or sell photography trips or workshops to the specific locations visited during my workshop for up to two years. This applies only to the exact locations included in the itinerary and does not restrict participants from offering workshops elsewhere. Breaches may result in legal action or financial penalties under applicable laws.
Payment of your deposit confirms that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
